Two sides of the same organization
One runs on campus. The other is what we’re building so our work can reach past it.
The school club
Monthly healthcare-focused meetings, each with a service or volunteer opportunity attached. Guest speakers and healthcare career sessions. Collaborations with NHS and CSF. School events and fundraisers, including Club Rush and the Pumpkin Patch.
Nonprofit development
We’re working toward operating under an established 501(c)(3) organization as a fiscal sponsor, so our service and charitable work can extend beyond campus. Alongside that we’re building community partnerships, fundraising capacity, and service programs designed to outlast any one school year.
Where our nonprofit development stands
We want to be straightforward about this, because it affects anyone considering a donation.
Clinical Care Club is a student club chartered at Los Osos High School. We are not currently a registered 501(c)(3), and donations to us are not currently tax-deductible. We say so plainly rather than let anyone assume otherwise.
We are actively working toward operating under an established 501(c)(3) as a fiscal sponsor. That arrangement would let us accept tax-deductible donations under their exempt status and expand our charitable work beyond the school, without spending a year on incorporation paperwork first.
Research organizations
Identify 501(c)(3) organizations whose mission fits ours and that sponsor student-led projects.
Make contact
Reach out, describe our programs, and ask about their sponsorship terms.
Compare options
Weigh fees, oversight structure, and what each sponsor allows us to fund.
Complete the process
Submit the application, budget, and program plan each sponsor requires.
Begin operating
Run our fundraising and service work under the approved structure.
